I’m not normally one to get all excited when somebody from Hollyweird or a music celebrity espouses a politically oriented view that tends to agree with me, as many other on the non-liberal side of the political spectrum seem to do. I have posted stuff in the past when Jonathan Davis of KoRn said stuff about Barack Obama and didn’t get too excited about it.
But when Kirk Windstein, the motherfucking Lord of the Riff does it? That just makes this metalhead’s heart fill up with joy.
As reported by Blabbermouth.net, in a public post on his personal Facebook page, former Down guitarist and frontman for Crowbar, Kirk Windstein addressed Dear Leader’s unconstitutional and lawless gun-grab announcement by accusing the President of putting on a show for political purposes.
“OBAMA’S FAKE TEARS ARE THE WORST FUCKING ATTEMPT I HAVE EVER SEEN AT CARING…HE HAS DESTROYED THIS COUNTRY, AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO, UNTIL THE DAY HE LEAVES OFFICE. I AM NOT A GUN OWNER, NOR AM I A REPUBLICAN. JUST A DRUG FREE, TAX PAYING CITIZEN.”
Fuck yeah Kirk! I feel the exact same way.
Also, despite my fierce belief in the 2nd Amendment, I too am not actually a gun owner. But that has absolutely no bearing in believing that the fundamental right of American citizens to keep and bear arms is sacred.
Last August I blogged about a South Carolina High School student that was not only suspended from school but placed under arrest. His crime? Writing a fictional story about purchasing a gun, for a school writing assignment.
Well, Apple has decided to join in on the hysteria, just as that South Carolina had “zero tolerance” for a fictional gun, Apple now has zero tolerance for pictures of fictional guns in games available for purchase in their iTunes app store.
While it does not appear that Apple’s ban on imaginary guns has had any effect on actual in-game content, they have begun to reject games for displaying guns in their app store icons and promotional material.
Via Pocket Gamer:
Multiple developers have told Pocket Gamer that Apple is starting to reject games and updates from the App Store, if they use screenshots that show people holding guns, or being maimed or killed.
Apple’s prudish rejection criteria (and the way it treats video games differently to movies) has long been a bone of contention for developers who want to tackle controversial topics. But going after guns and violence? Now that’s a worrying precedent…
I swear the world we live in is getting stupider by the minute. How long before they start digitally removing guns from old movies? Pretty soon I won’t be able to watch The Rifleman reruns on MeTV anymore.
No, not really.
In North Carolina on Tuesday evening, a brave 14-year-old who was defending his grandmother, shot and killed a home intruder in justifiable self-defense. Isai Delcid, 18, was the criminal low life killed, his accomplice in the attempted break-in, his brother, was apprehended by police.
Delcid and his 22-year-old brother Carlos Delcid, attempted to break into the home on Rolling Fields Lane just after 5 p.m., according to investigators. Isai was shot and died at the scene while police said Carlos fled.
Officers arrested Carlos late Tuesday night and charged him with first-degree burglary.
Police said a grandmother was at the home with her grandson at the time. According to officers, the grandson shot and killed Isai.
grandson shot the intruder.
“It’s not something you can be proud of. But, I’m happy the way it turned out. Because my wife is getting over an illness,” Wyant said.
Wyant said he has taken his grandson to the shooting range to teach him how to use a gun, but he’s still surprised by his quick actions Tuesday night.
Wyant said his grandson was protecting his grandmother, who can barely get around, and he said he’s grateful his grandson knew where the gun was and that he and his wife are OK.
“What would have happened if he didn’t have it, if I didn’t go out and get it?” Wyant asked. Read More…
Tragically, the poor kid’s father was murdered in 2008, while working at the auto-repair shop that he had owned. He had to make the tough choice to protect his grandmother and make sure another family member was not killed by a low life thug.
Seriously stop the fucking planet, I want off.
I wrote a poem once in High School for submission to the schools poetry book, it was deemed too dark and violent for a high school publication. My punishment? It wasn’t included — that was it, I do think I got an A on the project though. It was a good thing that my poem was rejected anyways as it wasn’t entirely original, I took a Metallica song and added extra verses to it.
I couldn’t imagine what sort of punishment I would get in today’s over-sensitized liberal dominated world of ridiculous zero-tolerance policies. The school year is barely even a few days old and already a 16-year-old student at Summerville High School in South Carolina has been not just suspended but arrested as well. All because of a gun.
Not just any gun, this violent juvenile delinquent was sent to jail for the most dangerous gun of all, a fictional one.
That’s right, the poor kid didn’t actually bring a gun to school, he didn’t even threaten to bring the gun to school or make any threats at all. In a class project where the kid wrote an obviously fictionalized version of what he did during the summer, the suspended and arrested student wrote that he had purchased a “gun” to kill his neighbors pet “dinosaur.”
Via WWBT NBC12:
Alex Stone said he and his classmates were told in class to write a few sentences about themselves, and a “status” as if it was a Facebook page.
Stone said in his “status” he wrote a fictional story that involved the words “gun” and “take care of business.”
“I killed my neighbor’s pet dinosaur, and, then, in the next status I said I bought the gun to take care of the business,” Stone said.
Stone says his statements were taken completely out of context.
“I could understand if they made him re-write it because he did have “gun” in it. But a pet dinosaur?” said Alex’s mother Karen Gray.”I mean first of all, we don’t have dinosaurs anymore. Second of all, he’s not even old enough to buy a gun.”
Investigators say the teacher contacted school officials after seeing the message containing the words “gun” and “take care of business,” and police were then notified on Tuesday. Read More…
Police then arrested the poor kid and charged him with “disorderly conduct.”
A young thug playing the “knockout game” attacked a Florida man after first making certain that the victim was not carrying a gun.
According to a witness, the hoodlum approached his innocent victim who was walking alone on Neptune Beach on July 31. The attacker, who was with three accomplices, asked him if he had a “glock.”
Apparently much like the Xerox brand name is the generic term for “copy,” Glock is now the street slang for gun.
Via The Florida Times-Union:
Fearing that the boy would continue to hit him until he was unconscious, the man grabbed at a folding knife that he had tucked into his waistband and pretended to have a gun. The boys fled, and the man enlisted the help of his neighbor to search for the boys.
The man positively identified one of the boys, a 15-year-old from Atlantic Beach, as the one who had struck him. At headquarters, the boy initially denied involvement, then confessed. Police tried to call the boy’s mother but could not reach her. He was taken to the county jail and booked on battery charges. Read More…
Of course the little asshole is going to be tried as a juvenile, meanwhile progressives continue to try to forcibly disarm innocent American Citizens.
