PHOENIX (AP) – A woman arrested in connection with a prostitution ring in Phoenix has been sentenced to probation.

Maricopa County prosecutors say 36-year-old Margaret Pahssen was sentenced Wednesday to nine months of supervised probation for facilitation to commit illegal control of an enterprise.

Pahssen was among several people arrested in January 2013 after Phoenix police served search warrants at the Champagne Room strip club and a home in Surprise. Read More…

The “Champagne Room” was billed as a 24-hour strip club, police say that it was actually a house of ill repute, where customers would be taken into the back room and provided with a “menu” of services.

Phoenix police, began a two-year investigation after receiving complaints from nearby business owners. Police claim that the investigation took such a long time because, the club’s owners took precautions to avoid allowing undercover agents to enter.
