This is not a story from The Onion.
Jackson, with its population of over 170,000 people, is both the capital of as well as the largest city in the state of Mississippi. It also has an idiot for a mayor.
JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson Mayor Tony Yarber is addressing the city’s infrastructure problem on Twitter.
He tweeted “Yes….I believe we can pray potholes away. Moses prayed and a sea opened up. #iseeya #itrustHim #prayerworks”. Read More…
Now I’m no atheist, I’m not even one of those people who think that we should take “God” off of our money or out of our Pledge of Allegiance. That being said, this guy is a fucking idiot.
Politicians, on both sides of the aisle, like this guy and the morons who agree with and elect them are everything that is wrong with our Nation today.
This past Friday the Foo Fighters played a show in Kansas City’s Sprint center. Apparently the nutjob pieces of garbage from the Westboro Baptist Cult where outside doing there normal crazy protest thing.
Dave Grohl, still recovering from a broken leg, and the rest of the Foo’s decided to have a little fun at the expense of the crazy cultists and did a live-action Rickroll.
It should be the duty of all proud Americans to ridicule and shame the Westboro Cult members at every opportunity.
If this story doesn’t describe perfectly the stupidity that is big-government, I don’t know what does.
Recently, New York City tried to fire 65-year-old Geoffrey Tolliver from his $38K-a-year job as a Medicaid eligibility specialist for missing about 18 months of work.
The cities Human Resources Administration accused the government employee of abandoning his job as of November 2013. Last month an administrative law judge recommended Toliver be fired, noting that he didn’t appear for a July 1 hearing.
Of course Tolliver couldn’t appear to the hearing, he had died of cancer last December.
Via The New York Post:
HRA officials said they sought to remove Toliver from his $38,000-a-year job after they couldn’t reach him for well over a year.
They marked the start of his absence as Nov. 12, 2013, and said calls and certified letters mailed to his home were never answered.
“We did everything we could to contact him and his family,” said HRA spokesman David Neustadt. “This employee was not paid when he wasn’t working, but we left his job open in case he recovered.”
He said that now that the agency knows of his “unfortunate death,” it would take no further action.
Family members were surprised to hear city officials claim they hadn’t been in touch with Toliver.
“It is my understanding that . . . his employer was fully aware that he was not able to come back to work,” Toliver’s brother Anthony told The Post.
“It is my understanding that my brother’s family spoke directly to his supervisor during his long hospitalization and informed them of his death.”
An online obit said Toliver was born in Harlem as the second of eight children.
“He was very well liked by his colleagues,” it said. Read More…
If you can’t trust the government to know that one of it’s employees had passed away, seriously what can you trust it to do?
Yes, you read that headline correctly.
On May 26th the Santa Ana, California, Police Department conducted a raid of a medical marijuana dispensary. According to a lawsuit filed by Sky High Holistic, operators of the medical marijuana collective, the raid was captured by secret surveillance cameras set up in the shop. The lawsuit states that during the raid officers were “intentionally destructive and destroyed video surveillance equipment, safes, furniture, fixtures, doors and other property.” They claim damages in excess of $100,000.
In addition to showing officers allegedly making derogatory comments about a disabled women, the surveillance video also purports to show officers snacking on some pot-laced brownies.
Via The Orange County Register:
A lawsuit, filed last week in Orange County Superior Court by three unidentified police officers and the Santa Ana Police Officers Association, seeks to prevent Santa Ana Police Department internal affairs investigators from using the video as they sort out what happened during the May 26 raid of Sky High Collective.
Lawyers for police and the dispensary said the video – which has been widely seen on television and several online news sites, including ocregister.com – could play a key role in the ongoing investigation into the officers’ actions.
The lawyers disagree about the video’s accuracy and authenticity.
Matthew Pappas, a lawyer for Sky High, pointed to the irony of police seeking to shoot down the use of video as evidence in an investigation when they routinely use videos to investigate other crimes.
“It’s pretty pathetic for police to say if we don’t like something that it can’t be used as evidence,” Pappas said.
Corey W. Glave, a Hermosa Beach attorney representing the Santa Ana Police Officers Association and the three officers, said the video was taken without the officers’ knowledge and was handled by Pappas, among others, prior to being made public.
After entering the building, police are seen dismantling video cameras inside the store.
After most of the cameras are taken down, a camera they didn’t detect shows the officers talking about a woman with an amputated left leg who at the time of the raid was in her wheelchair inside the dispensary.
“Did you punch that one-legged old Benita,” a male officer asks a female officer, apparently referring to the woman in the wheelchair.
“I was about to kick her in her (expletive) nub,” the female officer replies, according to subtitles with the video.
In another clip – which Pappas has titled “Officers eating edibles and playing darts” – a voice can be heard asking, “What flavor?” before an officer is seen unwrapping a small package and putting something in his mouth.
The lawsuit argues that the video doesn’t paint a fair version of events. The suit also claims the video shouldn’t be used as evidence because, among other things, the police didn’t know they were on camera.
“All police personnel present had a reasonable expectation that their conversations were no longer being recorded and the undercover officers, feeling that they were safe to do so, removed their masks,” says the suit. Read More…
So basically what they are saying is that they shouldn’t be charged with anything because they thought they destroyed all the evidence.
Lol. And these are the people that are supposed to uphold the law.
If this guy could figure out how to actually push a button inside an electronic voting booth, there is no doubt in my mind he would be an Obama voter.
BELLEVUE, Ohio — A burglary suspect fell through an attic floor after hiding from police Thursday afternoon.
At the time, Bellevue police were executing a search warrant at a home in the 100 block of Grove Street in connection with a Monday burglary on Crystal Court.
Suspect Dustin Bean, 25, was found hiding in the attic under insulation. While attempting to crawl out, police say Bean fell through the attic floor to the first floor of the house.
He then ran into the basement and attempted to hide from police again. Read More…
The thing is this isn’t the first time the idiot was found hiding in an attic. In February of 2013, police found him hiding in an attic, that time however he only almost fell through.
Via The Lorain Morning Journal:
BELLEVUE — A Huron County Sheriff’s Deputy, his K-9 and a wanted man narrowly avoided injuries Saturday when the ceiling collapsed during the search of an attic in Bellevue.
Deputy Josh Kaufman and K-9 “Gunny” were dispatched to Grove Street in Bellevue to assist the Bellevue Police Department with a search for a possibly armed man. At the scene, the K-9 and his handler teamed up with Police Sgt. Mark Kaufman, Deputy Kaufman’s father.
After hearing reports that the suspect, later identified as Dustin Bean, 22, was hiding in an attic crawlspace and possibly armed, K-9 Gunny was sent to locate him and eventually found him hiding in the rafters.
To avoid being bitten, Bean started to come out of hiding. That is when the ceiling gave out and Bean, Deputy Kaufman and Gunny started to fall through, according to Sgt. Chuck Summers, of the Huron County Sheriff’s Office. Read More…
What the fuck kind of drugs are they taking in Bellvue?
I posted this rant on Instagram while listening to this great album from two Country Music legends and then seeing a post on Facebook about Luke Bryan. It’s fueled by a couple glassed of sweet tea & bourbon, but the sentiments are true.
There is a reason that Django and Jimmie debuted at no. 1 on the billboard charts — fans are dying for authentic and true country music. If you’re a fan crying out for the country music of yesterday and missing the spirit of outlaw country. We need to hold on to albums and moments like this, because sadly we don’t have much more time with the Willie Nelson’s and Merle Haggard’s of the world. The thing is, real country music is not dead, it just doesn’t get played on the radio these days. As the so-called “country music” radio stations are focusing on garbage like Florida Georgia Line, Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean and a whole host of garbage… You just need to know where to find it. While George Jones lamented “Whose Gonna Fill There Shoes?” REAL country music is still out there. Dale Watson, Whitey Morgan, Sturgill Simpson, Cody Jinks, Lydia Loveless, Robbie Fulks, Jason Isbell, Hank III and a whole host of others I didn’t mention are still carrying the torch. They all sound different too. It’s out there — radio programmers just don’t seem to care Turn off CMT and “Country Music Radio” and go look for the real thing… It’s out there. #MerleHaggard #WillieNelson #DjangoandJimmie #RealCountryMusic #CountryMusic #OutlawCountry #PopCountrySucks #FuckPopCountry #Ameripolitan #AmeripolitanMusic #DaleWatson #WhiteMorgan #SturgillSimpson #CodyJinks #shooterjennings #brocountry #fuckbrocountry #brocountrysucks

This past March, Esmeralda Rossi, of Chandler, AZ, was in the shower when two police officer’s came knocking on her door.
“I was in the shower,” Rossi said. “My daughter came to the shower and said there are two officers at the door. So I just grabbed a towel.”
Rossi has not committed any crime, the police who arrived had not had any sort of warrant, yet the actions that occurred that night were the type of police tactics you would thing would be reserved for a violent criminal brandishing a weapon.
The police were there because they were responding to a call about an earlier argument between Rossi and her estranged husband.
Rossi, after answering the door, felt that the manor in which one of the officers approached, from the front door of her home, was very aggressive. She asked for them to wait for a moment so she could put on some clothes and get a cellphone to record their conversation.
“It made me very uncomfortable,” Rossi said. “So I closed the door. I turn to go into my living room, and I probably get about five steps in; and all of a sudden, I just hear boots running in after me, telling me stop or I’ll arrest you.”
It was at this point in which Rossi’s daughter began filming the encounter.
Without any provocation, or probably cause, the two officers stormed into the her home and proceeded to assault a woman, who was wearing nothing but a towel, doing so in front of her daughter.
As the sex-offender in a badge begins to assault the victim, under the threats of an illegal arrest, her towel drops completely exposing her now naked body. That didn’t stop the bastard from attempting to assault I mean “arrest” Rossi.
Rossi was handcuffed and subdued by her attacker, but was never charged with any crime.
Because she committed no crime.
After reviewing the incident, Chandler Police internal investigators determined Rose entered the home illegally and without probable cause. The investigation also determined that Rose didn’t document arresting or un-arresting the woman or the fact that she was naked.
There was also no video from his body camera for the call, records show.
After the incident, the other officer involved immediately contacted his supervisor to raise questions about Rose’s actions. The second officer was cleared of wrongdoing.
Chandler Police declined to comment, citing the potential lawsuit. Rose also didn’t respond to requests for comment. Read More…
It’s assholes like this piece of trash, that give the vast majority of good police officers a bad name. He should be charged with breaking and entering, false arrest, kidnapping and sexual assault.
However, the kicker is that the bastard retired from the force and is eligible to receive a full tax-payer funded pension.
