I am not a big proponent of the term “Hate Crime,” when used in conjunctions with any violent crime, as I really feel that all violent crimes are in essence crimes of hate. With that being said however, according to everything that I have come to understand about what a “hate crime” is, this is about as pure of a hate crime as you can get.
This past August Marine Sgt. Jan Pawel Pietrzak, a helicopter mechanic at Camp Pendleton married his girlfriend of three years Quiana Jenkins. They met at a party for Marines being deployed in Iraq, at first Quiana was unsure about a relationship with a Marine but Jan Pawel pursued her anyways.
On October 15, in the House they purchased together through foreclosure, which was supposed to be the place where they began their new lives together and started a family, they were brutally murdered and Quiana was raped.
Four fellow Marines who worked under Jan Pawel at camp Pendelton who claim that their motive was “money,” as they were looking for an “easy score.” yet the Pietrzak’s were far from rich.
Three of them ratted out Pvt. Emrys John as the triggerman who ended the torture of Sgt. Jan Pawel Pietrzak and his wife, Quiana, by shooting them in the back of their heads. The four Marines charged with murdering their Brooklyn-raised sergeant and his bride confessed they were looking for an easy score when they burst into the couple’s California home with guns drawn, court papers revealed Thursday.
John’s site on MySpace offered a window into the sick mind of the 18-year-old private from Baltimore.
“Chillin waitin 4 da killin,” was the caption under a photo he posted before the newlyweds were executed on Oct. 15.
Elsewhere on the site, John – an admitted collector of knives and swords – wrote that “shooting s—” and “blowin s— up” was a great “stress reliever.”
Lance Cpl. Tyrone Miller, 20, of North Carolina, told cops he threatened Pietrzak with a shotgun to get into the house. He said he bound and gagged the couple and then debated with John whether to kill them.
On his MySpace page, Miller referred to himself as a “Cripgeneral.” Investigators are now checking whether he had ties to the violent Crips street gang.
Pvt. Kesuan Sykes, 21, of California, is nicknamed “Psycho” and admitted that he “cut” off Quiana Jenkins-Pietrzak’s clothes, the court papers state.
The fourth Marine was identified as Pvt. Kevin Cox, 20, of Tennessee. Read More…
It seems to me that this should be just the type of story that the main stream media would love to cover, Marines murder a fellow Marine and his wife. After all look at the way that the MSM treated the Haditha Marines.
Hmm, but now not a peep about this story out of any of the major cable news outlets? I wonder why that could be?
As I said before, to me all violent crimes should be really considered as “hate crimes,” but I think it is pretty obvious what the real motivation was when those four thugs killed the young couple and raped the bride who was still working on sending out thank you cards to people who attended her wedding.
