Olivia Suriani, 32, of Toronto, Ontario, arrested after she was caught trying to enter the U.S. illegally via a kayak.
A Canadian woman who was caught attempting to enter the U.S. Illegally from aboard a cruise ship last January, was arrested yet again recently as she tried once again to enter the country — this time via a kayak.
Via The Buffalo News:
U.S. Border Patrol agents, alerted by Niagara Regional Police that a woman was kayaking across the Niagara River from Canada toward Beaver Island State Park on Grand Island, apprehended Olivia Leigh Suriani, 32, as she approached a taxi near the park, U.S. Attorney William J. Hochul Jr. reported Wednesday.
Suriani appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Hugh B. Scott on a charge of illegal re-entry and is being held pending a detention hearing Friday, Hochul said. Conviction on the charge carries a maximum penalty of two years in prison and a $250,000 fine. Read More…
So she’s facing 2 years in jail and a huge fine for trying to sneak in through the Northern border, while had she attempted to enter from the Southern border she would have received welfare, free tuition, free healthcare and a slate card of Democrats to vote for in the next election.

Tanya Miller, 30, took her eight-month-old baby with her on an armed robbery.
Apparently it must have been take your daughter to work day.
Via The UK Daily Mail:
A mother-of-four who took her eight-month-old baby with her as she acted as getaway driver in an armed robbery has been jailed.
Tanya Miller, 30, had the baby girl with her in a car seat as she drove from her home in
Carlisle to the Cumbrian town of Silloth for the knifepoint raid at a branch of the Cumberland Building Society.
A judge described this as one of the ‘most troubling’ aspects of the case as Miller appeared in court to answer for her role in the hold-up, which left a member of staff ‘absolutely traumatised’.

Tanya Miller, 30, not up for the ‘mother of the year award’ any time soon.
Carlisle Crown Court heard that Miller, of Harraby, was the ‘wheels’ in the raid while her boyfriend Barry Doswell, 26, also of Harraby, was ‘back-up’.
The pair were due to stand trial for robbery on Wednesday but both pleaded guilty before their trial got underway.
Yesterday Miller and Doswell were both sentenced to six years in jail for robbery. Read More…

Kasey Nesbitt, 35, charged in the rape of a 100-year-old woman who was sleeping in her Wichita home last September.
Via The NY Daily News:
A vile ex-con raped a 100-year-old Kansas woman during a burglary last month, police in Wichita said.
Kasey Nesbitt, 35, sits behind bars, held on $250,000 on a slew of charges stemming from the disturbing assault.
The alleged gang member burst through the elderly woman’s backdoor sometime last Sept. 29 or early Sept. 30 and sexually assaulted her, police said. The woman, described by police as very strong and brave, eventually was able to flee her own home around 7 a.m. on the 30th and get help from a neighbor, who called cops.
“All rapes are a deplorable crime but when you look at the age of the victim, it becomes a little bit more concerning, a little bit more disturbing,” Wichita Police Captain Troy Livingston told KAKE-TV. “It’s a vile crime, and the fact that somebody victimized a 100-year-old female is a little bit harder for the detectives to really grasp.” Read More…
I hope this scum bag makes some very special friends in prison.

Emanuel Smith, 60, charged with inducing panic and criminal trespass after making Ebola joke at Horseshoe Casino on Wednesday October 15, 2014.
A felony, a freaking felony? That’s ridiculous.
From my local bird-cage liner, The Plain Dealer:
CLEVELAND, Ohio – Bond is set at $10,000 for a Cleveland man charged with inducing panic after being accused of telling a Horseshoe Casino worker that he was gambling to avoid his Ebola-stricken ex-wife.
Hours after news broke Wednesday that a Dallas nurse diagnosed with Ebola had visited Cleveland, Emanuel Smith, 60, told a table games dealer that he was dodging a sick ex-wife who traveled to Cleveland from West Africa, according to the Ohio Casino Control Commission.
Smith, a former Cuyahoga County employee, visited the casino by himself. He and his ex-wife do not have Ebola and have not traveled to Africa, according to local officials.
Defense attorney Kathleen DeMetz said the exchange has been blown out of proportion.
“People were having a general discussion about the current situation,” she said. “He made a comment regarding his former wife who had traveled to Africa sometime in the past and that he tries to stay away from her.” Read More…
